If you could say only five words each week at your church gathering, what would they be? You would choose words packed with meaning that would cause the hearer to stop and think. You would want them to be powerful and life-changing, not easily forgotten. Words that deserve further pondering.
God’s word is full of such short, power-packed phrases that have altered countless lives throughout history. In fact, God does not even need five words. Just two: I AM. I AM is the ultimate statement of self-sufficiency, self-existence, and immediate presence. Think on that one for awhile!
This devotional blog is meant to bring encouragement, comfort, and strength to believers by sharing thoughts on five words from God’s eternal, unchanging truth. May it cause us “to stir up one another to love and good works,” (Heb. 10:24) and make us strong and courageous so we will be able to stand firm in our faith.
